Matthew DeMatteis
Matthew DeMatteis is a writer, director, cinematographer, and producer whose passion for storytelling spans both live action and animation. As the founder of Ice Bear Productions, a boutique animation company specializing in kids and teen animated series. He launched alongside fellow Emerson College alumnus and longtime collaborator Taelon Ratliff, Matthew develops original animated series and cinematic content that blends compelling narratives with striking visual artistry. He has built a career creating commercials, branded films, and corporate content while increasingly focusing on writing, directing, and producing original animated projects that bring imaginative worlds and unforgettable characters to life. Through Ice Bear Productions, Matthew leads a talented creative team dedicated to pushing the boundaries of animation and filmmaking, crafting stories that entertain, inspire, and leave a lasting impact.
Taelon Ratliff
HEAD OF OPERATIONS
Taelon Ratliff is a cinematographer and director from Southern California and a graduate of Emerson College's film school (go Lions).
Taelon has spent years behind the camera on feature films, commercials, branded content and ads, and in the director's chair on trailers and promotional content for AAA video games.
Alongside fellow Emerson alum and longtime collaborator Matthew DeMatteis, Taelon launched Ice Bear Productions, a boutique animation company focused on kids and teen animated series,.
Taelon is also a huge nerd for cameras, movies and video games, and a proud Ice Bear.
